The final 2013 Edible Art of Place is scheduled for Friday, April 26, 10 a.m. to noon, in the UAS Glacier View Room. Gerry Williams of Juneau will describe harvesting and drying Southeast plants for making teas and jellies, and she’ll be demonstrating soapberries, a hands-on perennial favorite at Art of Place. Helen Watkins will be sharing her knowledge of seal and salmon and will demonstrate black seaweed preparation. A potluck of Native food and contemporary food will take place after the program. Everyone is invited.
