Marisha Chamberlain’s adaptation of Carolyn Keene’s Nancy Drew mystery: “The Clue of the Dancing Puppet” will be presented this weekend on Perseverance Theatre’s Second Stage by the Young Company. Performances are at 7:30 p.m., April 26-27 and May 3-4, and at 2 p.m. Sunday April 28 and Sunday May 5.
This River Heights mystery centers on the old Van Pelt Estate, home of the Footlighter’s Barn Theater. Leander Van Pelt has died, and rumors abound of hidden cache of diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires that have been left somewhere on his estate. A mysterious ghost (or puppet?) has been haunting the estate while the Footlighters try to rehearse their play. Nancy Drew and her friends are on the case.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students, and will be available at the door.
