The Resurrection Lutheran Church Celebration Ringers will perform a concert on Sunday, May 19, at 7 p.m. at the church, located on the corner of 10th Street and Glacier Highway downtown.
The Celebration Ringers is a handbell choir, featuring of five octaves of bells which are not only rung, but also struck with mallets and other objects. The choir, a music ministry of the church, performs during church services as well as at other locations, including the Governor’s annual Open House and other venues around town.
The concert will also feature groups that regularly use the church for practices and performances, including the Juneau Youth Symphony’s Rick Trostel, a quartet from the Juneau Lyric Opera, Gold Street concert musicians, and the Juneau Bach Society.
There is no admission cost but donations made during the concert will go toward the RLC piano fund and the Lemon Creek Correctional Center Chaplaincy Program.
