Weber Dance to perform with JDU students Friday

Dancers from Boston-based Weber Dance will perform Friday, along with students from Juneau Dance Unlimited.

Dancers from the Boston-based dance company Weber Dance will perform this Friday, June 21, along with local student performers from Juneau Dance Unlimited. The show, which will feature 11 contemporary and modern choreographic pieces, begins at 7 p.m. at the Thunder Mountain High School auditorium.

Weber Dance company members have been coming to Juneau for a summer residency program for the past six years. This year, Weber dancers include Artistic Director Jody Weber, Adriane Brayton, Erin Gottwald, Shannon Humphreys, Kristy Kuhn, Rebecca Lay and Becca Rozell.

Rozell, who grew up in Juneau, is the dancer who first established the connection between Weber Dance and JDU.

Tickets are available at Hearthside Books, the JACC and online at Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
