"Wham! Bam! KaBOOM!" burlesque show to be performed this weekend

Lily Verlaine, a classically trained ballet dancer turned burlesque artist, will perform with Mod Carousel this weekend at Rockwell.

Seattle-based performance group Mod Carousel will be in town this weekend for two shows combining striptease, song and campy comedy. Shows will be presented Friday and Saturday nights, June 21 and 22, upstairs at Rockwell at 8:30 p.m.; doors open at 7:30 p.m.


The performances, “Wham! Bam! KaBOOM!” will feature Mod Carousel members Luminous Pariah, Paris Original, Trojan Original and Leeni, and special guest artist Lily Verlaine, a classically trained ballet dancer turned burlesque artist. Mod Carousel has performed this show more than 30 times across the world, from London to Alaska.

The performances are 21 and over. Tickets are available online at whambamkaboom.bpt.me or at the door for an additional $4.

The following weekend, Mod Carousel and Lily Verlaine will perform “A Mod Revue,” a full length cabaret, at Perseverance Theater. Shows will be June 28 and 29 at 8:30 p.m., with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. A full bar will be provided by the Rendezvous.
