Trostel, Hunt and Humphery to perform in "Old Friends at Play"

Rick Trostel, Todd Hunt and Rosie Humphery will join musical forces in a recital this weekend, “Old Friends at Play.” The trio will perform twice: on Saturday, July 6 at 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday, July 7 at 3 p.m., at Resurrection Lutheran Church.

The program includes works by Aaron Copland, Peter Schickele and Jean Rivier, and will feature Hunt on sax, Trostel on trumpet and Humphery on piano.

Admission is $10 at the door, with proceeds going to benefit Trail Mix and Thrush Hill Music.

This may be one of Juneau’s last chances to see Trostel perform for awhile; he’s moving to Oregon later this summer. See next week’s Arts section for the full story.
