The Juneau Douglas City Museum’s Juneau Explorers program, open to kids ages 8-11, will run from Aug. 12-16, from 12:30-4:30 p.m.

Monday: The Original People: Fishing, Weaving, Fighting and 2 Museums
Tuesday: Gold Fever: A Trip to the AJ Mine
Wednesday: Old Juneau: Exploring Our Town with “Old Eyes”
Thursday: A Land Formed By Ice: A Visit to the Mendenhall Glacier
Friday: History Today: We Continue to Create History - Let’s Document It!
The week will culminate in a book-making project, documenting students’ place in history.
Registration is available for individual days ($36) or the entire week ($180). Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. The cost includes materials fees, transportation and a light snack each day.
All activities begin and end at the City Museum, located at the corner of Fourth and Main Streets downtown.
