JUMP Summer Film Festival accepting submissions through Aug. 16

The Juneau Underground Motion Picture Society is still accepting film submissions of locally made short films for its upcoming JUMP 2013 Summer Film Festival, scheduled for Aug. 22-24 at the Gold Town Nickelodeon. Submissions will be accepted through Friday, Aug. 16.

Film submissions should be 10 minutes or less in length (the shorter the better, according to organizers), and must be created by Juneau artists or artists with a strong Juneau connection. For a list of accepted formats, check out the submissions guidelines at http://jumpsociety.org/jump-society-submission-guidelines.

Submissions are being accepted at Alaska Robotics at 200 Front Street or at Lucid Reverie, in the Emporium Mall.

The JUMP film festival will be shown Thursday, Aug 22, at 7 p.m., Friday, Aug 23, at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m., and Saturday, Aug 24, at 7 and 9 p.m. at the Gold Town Nickelodeon.

The JUMP Society has hosted two film festivals annually since 2002.
