Woosh K Poetry Slam Friday at Silverbow

Woosh Kinaadeiyí will host this month’s open mic and poetry slam on Friday, Sept. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Silverbow Bakery. Silverbow is located at 120 Second Street, downtown Juneau.

The event will be hosted by Bill Merk and Colin Kalk, with DJ Manu. It is open to poets and performers of all ages and all abilities. Sign up to read at 6 p.m. 

September’s poetry slam winner will join slam champions from the last year at next month’s Grand Slam, the culminating competition of the poetry slam season. This is the last opportunity for poets to qualify for Grand Slam.

Woosh Kinaadeiyí is a local nonprofit committed to diversity, inclusive community and empowering voice.
