Perseverance Theatre’s production of “God of Carnage” will begin its final weekend of local performances tonight, with shows running through Sunday. Performance times are Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the theater.
The Tony award-winning play, Perseverance’s first offering of the season, will continue its run in Anchorage beginning Nov. 1, with a pay-as-you-can preview offered Thursday, Oct. 31.
The French comedy, written by Yasmina Reza, centers on the interactions between two sets of parents whose children have had a fight on the playground.
Directed by Pirronne Yousefzadeh, the production features actors Brandon Demery, Allison Holtkamp, James Sullivan and Annia Wyndham. The design team includes Art Rotch (sets), Mike Inwood (lights) Colleen Metzger (costumes), Betsy Sims (sound) and stage manager Jason Ginter.
Next up for Perseverance is “Treasure Island,” opening Nov. 8.
