Space is still available in a free portrait drawing workshop for middle school and high school students from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., this Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Alaska State Museum.
David Rubin, an artist, art educator and musician from Ketchikan, who also has a solo exhibition of his work opening at the museum on Friday, is the guest instructor for this class.
Students taking the two-hour workshop will have the opportunity to draw from a live model wearing an elaborate costume. All materials and supplies are provided. The class is free but pre-registration is required. Call 465-2901 to register.
This workshop is sponsored by the Friends of the Alaska State Museum and funded in part by the citizens of the City and Borough of Juneau through sales tax revenue.
