Woosh Kinaadeiyí slam to be held at 209 Seward

This month’s Woosh Kinaadeiyí open mic and poetry slam will be held Friday, Dec. 20, at 6:30 p.m. at 209 Seward St. The event will be hosted by Mike Christenson and Krage Skafelstad, with DJ Judo providing music and artwork by Abe Wylie, whose gallery show is currently on view in the space. It is open to poets and performers of all ages and all abilities.

The theme of this month’s event is “Tribute,” and there will be a party following the slam to help Woosh Kinaadeiyí say “thank you” to the community. Food and drink will be provided. Suggested donation is $5.

Woosh Kinaadeiyí is a local nonprofit committed to diversity, inclusive community, and empowering voice. The organization hosts monthly poetry slams and open mics throughout the community.
