Barn Dance Saturday to feature music by Groundhogs

January’s Barn Dance, organized by the Juneau Contradancers, will be held Saturday night from 7:30-11 p.m. at St. Ann’s Parish Hall on 5th and Gold Streets downtown. This month’s featured guests are Odette Edgar, who will teach and call the contra dances, and the Groundhogs (Henry Hopkins, Greg Burger and Tom Paul), who will provide old time string band music.

All dances are taught and no experience or a partner are necessary.

Adults are $8, JIF and AFF members are $7, seniors and students are $5, SAGA and JVs are free.

Juneau Contradancers are affiliated with the Juneau International Folkdancers.
