Sound and Motion: A presentation from A Trip South

Members of A Trip South will give a First Friday photo presentation as part of the Sound and Motion series at the University of Alaska Southeast Rec Center on Friday, April 4, at 7 pm.

A Trip South is a group comprised of a dozen Juneau-Douglas grown friends, including some UAS students, who embarked on a dramatic kayak trip in June of 2012. They kayaked from Sandy Beach through the Inside Passage to Vancouver Island in British Columbia. The trip continued with a smaller group on bicycles along the Pacific coast through Central and South America to Tierra Del Fuego, Argentina. Kanaan Bausler and Andrew Flansaas are now on the home stretch to that final destination in Argentina.

Their comrades now back in Juneau will present photos and tell stories of some of the kayak and bike portions of the trip, followed by an audience question and answer session.
