Morally Improv-erished performs in Austin; Mission IMPROVable visits Juneau;

On Thursday, Aug. 28, Juneau’s Morally Improv-erished will be peforming at the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival in Austin, Texas -- a major event in the world of improv. The team, which features Eric Caldwell and M.D. Christenson, will be performing their show, Rorschach Pattern 9. This will be the fourth state in which this show has toured. Rorschach Pattern 9 combines improv, slam poetry, clown and Dada stylings into a single format.

Caldwell and Christenson are also the co-producers of the Alaska State Improv Festival.

The Out of Bounds Comedy Festival began Aug. 26 and runs through Sept. 1. Stay tuned for more details about Morally Improv-erished's Austin experience.

Meanwhile, back in Juneau, Mission IMPROVable, an improv comedy duo from Chicago, will be performing at the University of Alaska Southeast Rec Center this weekend. The team builds their performance on a few audience suggestions, turning those ideas into a brand new, original production.

Mission IMPROVable has performed along side members of Saturday Night Live, Mad TV, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and Late Night with Conan O’Brien.

They’ll be performing on Friday, Aug. 29th at 8 p.m. at the Rec Center. The show is free for all UAS Students, staff and faculty.
