We are burning through our savings at the rate of $7 million per day, according to noted economist Professor Scott Goldsmith. That’s over $2 billion a year with no plan to halt the free fall.
Yet, state spending is astonishingly out of control. Resources are wasted on duplicative studies, lavish expenditures and excessive oil tax concessions while funding for education, infrastructure and critical services is threatened.
