A Juneau resident accused of importing cocaine from Mexico to Alaska and dealing it in Juneau was ordered to serve two years in prison.
Judge Louis Menendez imposed the sentence for Roberto Carranza, 24, last Monday in Juneau Superior Court.
Menendez previously sentenced Carranza’s twin brother, Jose Carranza, for his role in the crime, in April.
Prosecutors said the two California-born brothers received two packages coming from Guadalajara, Mexico, last July. One hundred grams of cocaine were in each package, prosecutors said.
