Thomas McRae is ready to go home.
The 32-year-old U.S. Marine Corps gunnery sergeant from Juneau, who was injured by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan in 2012, is slated to be discharged from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on June 30.
McRae couldn’t be more thrilled, he told the Empire recently by phone.
