ANCHORAGE — Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has made it official and endorsed an independent running for governor in Alaska over her former running mate.
Palin this week hosted a reception at her lakeside home north of Anchorage for Bill Walker and Byron Mallott.
Walker, an independent, and Mallott, a Democrat, joined forces after the primary to provide a stronger challenger to incumbent Gov. Sean Parnell, who was Palin’s lieutenant governor and took office when she quit in 2009.
