Not many people cycle across continents, but Seth McBride and Kelly Schwan are unique even in that small group.
McBride, who grew up skiing, running, hiking and rock-climbing in Juneau, was paralyzed in 2000 at the age of 17, when he over-rotated a backflip while skiing in Blackcomb, British Columbia. McBride and his fiancée, Schwan, an occupational therapist, are both advocates for disabled adventure travel.
In 2009, the couple spent a month riding around Ireland. It was the first long cycle touring trip they’d done — and they loved it.
