Lisa Morley was 43 and having her second mammogram when her cancer was discovered. She’s a single mother who works full-time for the state; suddenly, she was also a cancer patient and faced with a lot of choices. The one real choice she saw was to just get through it.
“There’s all this stuff you have to think about,” Morley said of being diagnosed with cancer.
Decisions have to be made about treatment, employment, living situations and family — all at once, it seems.
