More housing units are coming to Juneau. Twelve units are coming to the Valley after the Planning Commission issued a conditional use permit for a project off Delta Drive.

The Whale Project is about to breach from its clay mold in hopes of making it to Juneau early next year. Celebrations of our country’s independence took place Thursday and Friday, but there was no hullabaloo over Alaska’s true birthday. This is CC METRO IN REVIEW for the week of June 30th, 2013:

City Attorney John Hartle has retired after 20 years with the city and was thanked for his service to the municipality. Mayor Merrill Sanford: “This is an appreciation night for John, and a thank you to all of your years of service.”
