Charlene Kay Hixon

Charlene Kay Hixon died Aug. 2, 2011. She was 53.

Hixon was born Aug. 13, 1957 and was raised in Kodiak. She raised her family in Yakutat and Juneau.

Hixon’s brothers Charles, Pat, Mike, John; and her sister Susan preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister Kathleen Johnson, brother Tom Hixon, daughter Rose Kay and son Monti.

A memorial service will be held in Anchorage at a later date. Those wishing to remember her are encouraged to make a donation to a local animal shelter in her honor.
