Wilton Royce Locke
Wilton Royce Locke of Waynesboro, Tenn. died Nov. 20, 2011. He was 77.
Locke was born May 19, 1934 in Linden, Fla., the son of Katie Jo McCormick Conway of Tarrytown, Fla., who survives him and the late Robert Clinton Locke. He married Patti Shaw, who survives, on March 1, 1982.
Locke was retired from the state of Alaska Department of Corrections, was a member and past master of Bushnell (Fla.) Masonic Lodge No. 30 and a Scottish Rite Freemason. He served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1961.
Locke lived in Alaska for 20 years before moving to Wayne County, Tenn. for his last 10 years.
Other than his mother and his wife, he is survived by his sons Tracy Locke of Leesburg, Fla., Chad “Kit” (Tami) Watts of Juneau; daughters Lori (Lee Petrucci) Locke of Cape Coral, Fla., Jaime (Paul Moran) Watts of Juneau; sisters Janelle (Wayne) Wade of Plant City, Fla., Shirley (Dale) Akins of Tarrytown, Fla., Laura (Weldon) Collins of Youngsville, La. and several other family members.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Purcell Funeral Home in Bushnell. Burial will follow in the Linden Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Natural Bridge in Waynesboro.
