Constance “Connie” Davis
Longtime Juneau resident Constance “Connie” Davis died Jan. 4, 2012 in Juneau. She was 84.
Born in Juneau on April 18, 1927 to Trevor Davis and Carol Beery Davis, she was raised in Juneau. Upon graduation from Juneau High School she attended the University of Michigan where she met, and later married Fernando Ravinet. They had three children and moved to South America where they spent seven years living in Brazil, Argentina, and Chile.
In 1970 she moved back to Juneau with her daughters and reconnected with her childhood home and friends. She left briefly to finish her bachelor’s degree in women’s studies at the University of Washington.
She is survived by her daughters Silvia Ravinet of Auckland, New Zealand, Colette Ravinet of Anchorage, and Monica Ravinet of Brooklyn, N.Y. and several other family members.
A memorial service will be held from 2-4 p.m. today at Northern Light United Church, 400 W. 11th St.

Tom Haas died Jan. 5, 2012. He was 63.
Haas worked as an accountant for the state of Alaska before retiring about 10 years ago.
He is survived by his wife Julie Haas, stepson Adam Weed, stepdaughter Jessica (Eric) Juhl, and other family members.
A celebration of life is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at G.W. Teals.
