Former Douglas resident Patricia Troberg passed away Dec. 4, 2013 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho after a brief illness. She was 84.
She was born Noreen Patricia Andrews to parents Walter “Andy” Andrews and Kathleen (Andrews) Gillespie on Sept. 17,1929 in Juneau/Douglas, Alaska, where she lived until she traveled “outside” to California at the age of 26. She returned to Alaska many times over the years.
Pat is survived by her husband of 53 years, Roy Troberg; their newest addition, a little dog, Shatzi; her brothers Bill Guzman and Ray Troberg; four grandchildren; Carina Guzman, Andrea “Andy” Guzman, Tyler Troberg and Ryan Troberg; and first cousins Tony McCormick and Dick McCormick, of Douglas, Alaska.
Her remains will be returned to Alaska, the place she always felt to be her true “home.” Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life. She will be truly missed. As per her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial services.
