James Robert Hanson
James Robert Hanson passed away Oct. 5, 2015. He was 45 years old.
James attended Juneau schools from kindergarten to high school and finished his formal education at Fort Simcoe Job Corps. for culinary arts, Yakima Nation. James practiced his trade from coast to coast. He managed a commercial kitchen and enjoyed offering memorable customer service as a chef. He spent the last years of his life caring for his mother.
James is survived by his mother, Joann Hanson; his big brother, Edward Hanson, and his sisters, Roxann Thomas and Gracey Farahbakhsh.
His father, Jim Hanson, preceded him in death in June of 2011.
A memorial will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23 at Skater’s Cabin. Friends of James are invited to come enjoy a campfire and a hot beverage with James’ family. The family may be contacted at 780-4908.
