As you progress in your healthy lifestyle goals, it’s important to reassess. After 6
to 8 weeks, look at your current plan to see if it is still stimulating your body... and
your mind. Did you workout 3 times per week or more? Are you feeling increased
energy? Are you enjoying the workouts? Now that you’ve established the fitness
habit, it’s time to incorporate some variety in the workout types and get out of
your comfort zone once again. If you work out solo, try a group fitness class
a few times a week or specialty class focusing on a new exercise or intensity.
Workout with family or friends by taking hikes, running or bike rides as spring
approaches. Changing your surroundings by participating in a class or taking your
workout outdoors will have a positive impact on your routine, energy and overall
wellbeing. Your muscles and energy systems need new stimuli and new goals to
drive the motivation.
