Did you know that dancing can contribute to overall good health? Not only is it cardio exercise, but reduces stress and depression, and can help keep the mind sharp.


This week’s tip.  Find opportunities to dance! 

Nothing beats the latin-inspired fitness dance party than the wildly popular Zumba® if you are looking to burn calories. The pace is intense, set to upbeat world rhythms with easy-to-follow choreography. You can dance yourself into shape.

Dancing releases chemicals that help improve our mood.  When we dance with others or in a group, we create stronger social bonds that contribute to good mental and physical health.

Dancing  gives your mind’s memory, coordination, and focus areas an intense workout, leading to stronger synapses and beefed-up gray matter.  Pretty cool, especially as we get older.

It is easier to continue to make healthy lifestyle choices when you are having fun doing it.  So, join a Zumba®  class, grab some friends and find some local music,  or simply put on your favorite song and dance like no one is watching.  Shall we dance?
