The Fisherman’s Memorial has been a place that my late husband, children and I would go to pay our respects to our fellow friends/fisherman who lost their lives to the jobs that they held. This is also the same location that me and my children have visited to pay respects to my late husband/their father who also lost his life while working. We do not have a burial location to mourn. This is our grave site. This is where we pay respects on his birthday, holidays and the day that he was lost at sea. To relocate this would be as sacrilegious and immoral as removing grave sites to relocate them. You would not support doing that would you? Then, please, reconsider putting friends and family of the fishermen through this heartache as well.

I had no idea that there were plans for it to be moved. When and by whom was this decided?
I feel the same way. I have no grave to visit my late father. I visit the Fisherman's Memorial.
