Support oil exploration

Nine groups sue to stop Shell from drilling in the Arctic. This raises some questions about the objectives of the people who donate to these groups. These groups only receive money from donors who believe that by donating they are saving the Environment. Today when accidents happen the oil companies are held financially responsible for the cleanup. Are these groups going to step forward and take financial responsibility for a spill of oil that they prevent the oil companies from harvesting. Say, for example an earthquake opens a crack in the Chukchi Sea, and all of the oil gushes to the surface destroying the subsistence lifestyle of all who live there. Are these groups ready to take responsibility?

What if a new volcanic vent opens under the ANWR and the responding Super Volcanic Event propels us into another Ice Age? Who is going to clean that up?

These groups promote leaving oil and gas underground, when right off shore Santa Barbara oil and gas is seeping into the ocean every day. Are these groups cleaning it up?

If you study history, it is obvious we are in a race with extinction involving nature. All other mass extinctions happened before we appeared, so those extinctions could not have been our fault. But, if we cause our own extinction by ignoring the facts, it definitely will be our fault.

Sulfur Dioxide is released when Volcanoes involve fossil fuels; Sulfur Dioxide reflects energy from the sun and causes global cooling and extinctions. Want to read it for yourself? Go to Sulfur Dioxide at EPA you’ll learn all Sulfur Dioxide is released from burning fossil fuels. Go to Volcanic Gases at USGS You’ll learn Sulfur Dioxide is the No. 3 most abundant volcanic gas, also learn that the more gas, the more explosive the eruption. Proof of global cooling from this phenomenon was collected by satellites that were deployed in 1978. Following the 1991 eruption of Mt. Pinatubo a cloud of sulfur dioxide measuring 20 million metric tons cooled the Earth 1.3 degrees Fahrenheit, also at USGS.

Google “Super Volcano” and you can learn how many times this has happened. Google “oil seeps” and find out thousands of oil and gas seeps have been located, studied, mapped, photographed and finger printed. Please, if you care about the environment and our future, support oil exploration and harvesting of hydrocarbons wherever they are found.
