Hunters and guns

The NRA and gun owners have a way of conflating the issues. In all the debate following the latest use of an assault weapon to create carnage I have not heard or read one word about taking guns away from hunters or increasing controls over hunting weapons or handguns. However, the NRA and some gun owners are happy to talk about the threat to those weapons.

Please folks, listen to the debate and address the real questions, which include limitations on assault weapons and multiple round clips that exceed some reasonable number. As an ex-Marine and former prosecutor, I see no legitimate civilian use of assault weapons away from a properly regulated firing range, where the only casualties will be a target and perhaps someone’s hearing.
