Stop discrimination against LGBT citizens

I cannot believe that in this day and age, a person’s sexual orientation can be argued to be any kind of logical basis for employment; 87 percent of Fortune 500 companies include sexual orientation in their equal employment policies, and 41 percent also include gender identity. What’s good business for them should be considered good business by anybody.

But the fact that it’s not means that LGBT people need a federal standard that includes protections for them. Workplace discrimination is just stupid, and if employers can’t be trusted to end it then the federal government should.
