Letter: Justice system seems to favor criminals

In response to the Nov. 26 article on former prison inmates and the city, just let me say a few things.

For those of us who have been exposed to criminals we have no doubt that they think and feel differently than law abiding citizens, and will continue to do so most of their lives. Just riding on city busses here and in Anchorage leaves no doubt in my mind or heart about them. The one who attacked me last year had 11 prior convictions. I have none. Not even a misdemeanor. The justice system seems to be in favor of criminals and protects their rights to the max. The victims of their brutal and sometimes fatal attacks have to pick up the pieces of their lives the best way they know how. I was recently exposed for three days and nights to three criminal women and they lie about things that matter and things that don’t. Just remember this when you hire them.

You don’t pay police officers enough to deal with this element.
