When winter comes can fall be far behind? Who amongst us cannot appreciate a thing of beauty? A wild place where swaying sedge-green fields abound with vermilion-hued flowers; a wild place where countless creatures live out their ordained lives in circumscript wildness.
There is such a place on Egan Drive and it is called the “Field of Fireweed.” It’s a place where Fireweed has survived and flourished. It is not only magnificent for one to behold every fall — but most importantly — hosts a myriad of hummingbirds, butterflies, bees and other varieties of creatures to be found.
