GCI SchoolAccess and Alaska Teacher Placement connect educators with districts

School districts in Alaska are beginning the search for teachers for the 2011-12 school year. With this in mind, GCI SchoolAccess and Alaska Teacher Placement have once again partnered for The Alaska Educator Expo, the largest job fair dedicated to teacher placement in Alaska with nearly all of Alaska’s 52 school districts in attendance and seeking prospective teachers.

It takes place Friday and Saturday at the Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage.

GCI is sponsoring video conferencing services for the expo, allowing faculty from remote and rural school districts to participate in the event. Alaska Teacher Placement, with the help of video conferencing and because of their other virtual and in-person events, has helped more than 3,000 teachers obtain jobs in Alaska in the last three years.
