Sears temporarily closed

Details scarce, though mall manager says store will reopen under new management

The Sears store in Mendenhall Mall is closed. How long it will remains so is unclear, as details are scarce.

Mall manager Larry Bauer offered a statement to the Empire: “This is a Sears Corporate issue and Sears is changing management. To further serve the community, Sears Corporate will be reopening the store shortly.”

A Sears Holdings Corp. representative has not yet returned comment.
