Did you miss out on the Fourth of July festivities in Juneau and Doulgas? Empire photographer Michael Penn shot the late-night fireworks show and daytime events around town.
I used to have a link here, but have removed it due to the tyrannical demands of Empire staff. Thank you, and have a nice day!
Make sure you look at the photo of Spongebob!
Thanks for your great pics of the parade!!
re: the Tlingit canoe was painted by my friend, Doug Chilton, and his family - they spent several days working hard on it and it looked great! re: "Hey Mom!" - Lol, snicker.....that had to be My friend, Michelle's boy, since that was her up there dancing! You got some really great shots and your captions had me giggling in my coffee!! Thanks again for posting that link!!
You have some interesting friends! That canoe was awesome, if I ever have a canoe that needs a paint job, I'm going straight to Doug Chilton. :)
As for your friend Michelle, I have to say it takes some big ones to dance like that in front of the entire town, and on a moving vehicle! She did a great job!
First.. great pictures @wfischer! :)
