The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium, or SEARHC, is hosting a class in Klawock for adults who wish to tell health-related stories in a digital format.
The class is scheduled to run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day Aug. 1-3 in the Klawock High school computer room. Each participant will write a 200-300 word story, written before the class begins, focusing on a health-related message he or she feels passionate about. The class will then teach people how to develop the story in a format suitable for digital storytelling by teaching computer-based skills for producing that story.
The cost for the class is $10, which includes a 4-gigabyte thumb drive. The deadline for applications is July 27. For more information, or to apply, please contact June May in Klawock at (907) 755-4959 or at email@example.com. Additionally those interested can contact Renae Mathson in Sitka at firstname.lastname@example.org.
