Police & Fire for Sunday, July 31

Citations

• On July 24, Alaska Wildlife Troopers observed a commercial salmon driftnet fishing vessel operated by Aaron Place, 38, commercial gillnet fishing over the Point Bishop line on two separate occasions. On Wednesday, Place was issued two misdemeanor citations for fishing in closed waters. Arraignment is scheduled in Juneau District Court.

• On July 24, AWT observed the F/V Seniviavin Sun operated by Ryan Gullufsen, 36, commercial gillnet fishing over the Point Bishop line on three separate occasions On Wednesday, Gullufsen was issued three misdemeanor citations for fishing in closed waters. Arraignment is scheduled in Juneau District Court.

Disturbance

• At 6:56 a.m. Friday, a 35-year-old woman reported an altercation with a 42-year-old man in the 4400 block of Mendenhall Boulevard.

Domestic violence

• At 12:17 p.m. Wednesday, a domestic violence protective order needed to be served on a 49-year-old man.

• At 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, a domestic violence protective order needed to be served on a 54-year-old female.

• At 1:18 p.m. Thursday, a notice of hearing needed to be served on a 51-year-old man.

Driving without a license

• At 7:28 p.m. Wednesday, Joseph Schultz, 26, was cited and released for driving without a valid license in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.

• At 8:02 p.m. Wednesday, Nicholas Detemple, 23, was cited and released for driving without a valid license in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.

• At 9:04 a.m. Thursday, Hector Orozco-Rodriguez, 23, was cited for driving without a license and insurance in the 2200 block of Trout Street.

• At 1:20 p.m. Thursday, Hans Petaja, 21, was cited and released for driving without a valid license in on Capital Avenue. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.

Drunken driving

• At 4:22 p.m. Wednesday, Sarah Katzeek, 29, was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 400 block of Ninth Street. She was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. The vehicle she was driving was impounded.

• At 4:09 p.m. Thursday, Susan Trammel, 42, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. She was taken to LCCC. The vehicle she was driving was impounded.

Fire and medical

• At 4:05 a.m. Thursday, EMS responded to an unresponsive woman on Douglas Highway. The woman chose no transport.

• At 7:42 a.m. Thursday, a man with chest pain was transported from Juneau International Airport to Bartlett Regional Hospital.

• At 3:15 p.m. Thursday, a woman with a wrist injury was transported from Auke Nu Drive to BRH.

• At 5:31 p.m. Thursday, EMS responded to a minor with candy lodged in throat on 3rd Street. The minor chose no transport.

• At 6:21 p.m. Thursday, a woman was transported from Valley Boulevard to BRH.

• At 9:23 p.m. Thursday, Capital City Fire and Rescue responded to an authorized controlled burning on Randall Road.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 9:24 p.m. Wednesday, a gate was struck by a Subaru Forester driven by an 18-year-old woman in the 1800 block of Shell Simmons Drive. Damage to the gate is estimated at $25.

• At 11:33 a.m. Thursday, a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old man struck a street sign on 8th Street. Damage is estimated at $25.

• At 5:20 p.m. Thursday, a 34-year-old man reported his vehicle struck and truck damaged while parked in the 5600 block of Tonsgard Court.

Reckless driving

•At 3:46 p.m. Wednesday, Dylan Monette, 19, was cited and released for reckless driving on Wren Drive.

Remand

• At 5:31 p.m. Wednesday, Eugene Bourdon, 52, was remanded into custody in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway. He was also charged with two counts of possessing child pornography. He was taken to LCCC.

• At 6:45 p.m. Thursday, Frederick James Stevens Jr., 54, was remanded into custody in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue. He was also charged with misconduct involving a controlled substance. He was taken to LCCC.

Theft

• At 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, a 30-year-old man reported a black iPhone 4 stolen from the Flight Deck on Marine Way.

• At 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, a 32-year-old woman reported her camera stolen from her unlocked vehicle in the 4500 block of Kanata Street.

• At 11:18 a.m. Thursday, Sarah Lewis, 18, was arrested for larceny from Walmart in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway. She was taken to LCCC.

• At 12:28 p.m. Thursday, Blake Galvin, 30, was arrested for larceny from Walmart in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway. He was taken to LCCC.

• At 12:41 p.m. Thursday, Angela Beagle, 40, was arrested for larceny from Walmart in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 4:16 p.m. Thursday, a 35-year-old man reported a stolen gray pickup truck in the 100 block of Savikko Road.

Trespass

• At 4:53 a.m. Friday, a 38-year-old man reported his vehicle rifled through but nothing taken in the 4400 block of Columbia Boulevard.

Vandalism

• At 2:36 a.m. Thursday, a 46-year-old man reported a bedroom window shattered by a piece of wood in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 12:34 p.m. Thursday, a 59-year-old man reported vandalism to Dzantik’i Heeni Middle School in the 1600 block of Renninger Street.

• At 3:32 a.m. Friday, a 45-year-old woman reported vandalism to her residence in the 2900 block of Linda Avenue.

• At 8:28 a.m. Friday, a 51-year-old man reported the windows of a vehicle shattered in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road. Damage is estimated at $1,000.

• At 8:40 a.m. Friday, a 36-year-old man reported a window at a business shattered in the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Road. Damage is estimated at $500.

Warrant arrest

• At 9:25 a.m. Thursday, Richard Ransbottom, 26, was arrested in the 200 block of Franklin Street on a $250 Juneau Police Department warrant charging failure to appear on an original charge of assault.
