Steve was one of my most favorite nurses at Bartlett. I worked with him for almost a decade. What a huge loss to the medical community. His dedication to his patients and advocacy for their needs will not soon be replaced. Rest in Peace, Nice Nurse. I will miss you.
Tragic
Steve we will miss you terribly. What a crazy, fun, kind soul he was.
Article says James Reese,
Article says James Reese, comments say Steve? I am guessing he went by Steve? Anyway, sorry for the loss. I don't recognize the name, but I am sure I've met him as I have small kids so we used to be in Bartlett a lot.
Does anyone know if this is
Does anyone know if this is the same Steve Reese that used to post on the old Empire bulletin board along with JamesG, Tawny, Parrothead (my old name), etc)? If so, he seemed like a very good man with a kind, helping heart and a good soul who went out of his way to help others.
My condolences to his family and friends and may he rest in peace.
I hope it's not Steve Reese.
I hope it's not Steve Reese. I remember Steve from when I used to post on the Juneau Empire message board some 8 years ago.

According to KINY
According to KINY this Steve did work at Bartlett so I believe it is the Steve who used to post on the old board and then started the NEW board when the old one was pulled. Remember how excited he was when he finally got his degree?

Man, I was hoping it wasn't the same Steve.
Steve--a great Alaskan
Steve wasn't just a great nurse, but also a great dad & volunteer. He was always there to help out with the Girl Scouts, and supported his kids. He could usually be seen with his son or daughter at different events, always interested in their activities. We'll all miss you, Steve. You were a model Alaskan and friend.
WOW
OMG. I knew Steve for a short time but I so enjoyed working with him at Bartlett. He was a great supervisor and co-worker, father and friend. I would have trusted my life with him. What a sad way to go. My heart goes out to his family. May he rest in peace and smile down upon his children.
