The Empire reported on Thursday that the Coeur d’Alene Mines Corp. reported full-year cash operating costs from Kensington at approximately $850 per ounce of gold. That number was the forecasted cost of operations. Actual production costs for the first six months were $1,344.67 per ounce with cash costs of $954.78 per ounce.
The story also implied Coeur’s forecast of $5.75 per ounce of silver came from Kensington. The number comes from its other mines. Kensington does not produce silver.
