Photo: A fresh outlook

Hoonah artist Duane Bosch repaints his artwork, titled "The Wave House" in front of the Augustus Brown Swimming Pool on Tuesday. Completed in 1999 as part of the state-mandated One Percent For Art program, the piece depicts a man riding a mythical sea monster atop a house of ocean swells. It features a central pole about 9 feet high, carved from red cedar. Yellow cedar panels painted with form-line designs stretch nearly 10 feet on either side.
