CBJ: City and borough water system free of E. coli

A statement released from the City and Borough of Juneau Water Utility today stated the city and borough’s water system is currently free of E. coli bacteria.

It went on to state it currently meets all Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation’s (DEC) requirements.

“The E. coli issues mentioned recently in local news reports are specific to the Churchill Park trailer court in the Lemon Creek area, which is on a private water system.”

The CBJ Water Utility statement advised residents of the Churchill Park trailer court to follow the directions provided to them by their park manager and by DEC.
