The Regulatory Commission of Alaska has issued a week-long extension for its decision on Alaska Electric Light & Power’s requested 24 percent increase to the energy component section of electrical rates. The decision is now scheduled to be released Sept. 2.
RCA reports that AEL&P and Juneau People’s Power Project have both consented to the extension.
The original decision was due on July 27, at which point the RCA requested a 30-day extension to Aug. 26.

I'm getting sick and tired of this being put off. Is someone worried about losing their job or an election or something?
Who appoints the RCA board members?
