Police & Fire for Tuesday, Aug. 30

Drunken driving

• At 12:01 p.m. Saturday, Clinton Daniels, 28, was arrested for assault, reckless endangerment, and driving while intoxicated on Egan Highway inbound. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• At 2:26 a.m. Sunday, Cindy Lou Morgan, 48, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. She was taken to LCCC. The vehicle she was driving was impounded.

• At 3:44 a.m. Sunday, Elijah Joseph Harris, 25, was arrested for driving under the influence and reckless endangerment, and cited for driving without a license in the 1300 block of Egan Drive. He was taken to LCCC. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.

• At 3:18 p.m. Sunday, Keith Allen Hanson, 20, was arrested for driving under the influence and cited for driving without a license in the 100 block of Savikko Road. He was taken to LCCC. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.

Driving while operator’s license suspended

• At 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Alaska Wildlife Troopers stopped a vehicle on Mendenhall Loop Road near Trinity Drive for failing to use a turn signal to change driving lanes. Investigation showed Joshua D. Quintal, 30, of Juneau had a suspended Tennessee driver’s license. Quintal was issued a summons for driving while license suspended and a citation for failing to use his turn signal to change driving lanes.

Driving without a valid license

• At 10:57 p.m. Saturday, Jeffrey Troy Tinney, 29, was cited for driving without a valid license on ‘A’ Street. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.

• At 11:42 p.m. Saturday, Henry Crawford, 30, was cited for driving without a valid license in the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.

• At 2:09 a.m. Sunday, Shanna Leigh Perry, 32, was cited for driving without a license. The vehicle she was driving was impounded.

Failure to validate deer harvest tag

• On Saturday, AWT issued a citation to John E. Mikesell, 22, for failing to validate his deer harvest tag after taking a deer near the Eaglecrest Ski Area.

Fire and medical

• At 12:28 a.m. Friday, a man with a stab wound was transported from Trappers Lane to BRH.

• At 4:32 a.m. Friday, a man with a stab wound was transported from Bartlett Regional Hospital to Juneau International Airport for medevac.

• At 6:42 a.m. Friday, a patient was assisted to his dialysis treatment due to his erratic driving on Mendenhall Mall Road.

• At 2:40 p.m. Friday, a woman needing assessment was transported from Shell Simons Drive to BRH.

• At 2:59 p.m. Friday, a woman vomiting blood was transported from Salmon Creek Lane to BRH.

• At 4:19 p.m. Friday, a man with internal bleeding was transported from Marine Way to BRH.

At 5:15 p.m. Friday, a man with a fractured hip was transported from Glacier Highway to BRH.

• At 6:43 p.m. Friday, a man with chest pain was transported from BRH to JIA for medevac.

• At 9:10 p.m. Friday, a man with a stab wound to the chest was transported from Nowell Avenue to BRH.

• At 2:22 a.m. Saturday, CCFR responded to a fire alarm on University Drive. Investigation determined alarm set off by burnt food.

• At 3:11 a.m. Saturday, a man with a foot infection was transported from BRH to JIA for medevac.

• At 8:01 a.m. Saturday, CCFR responded to a fire on Fish Creek Road. Investigation revealed burning tree branches and material under the bridge and the fire was extinguished.

• At 4:11 p.m. Saturday, an unresponsive man was transported from Second Street to BRH.

• At 6:15 p.m. Saturday, a man with general weakness was transported from Berners Avenue to BRH.

• At 9:59 p.m. Saturday, a man with dengue fever was transported from BRH to JIA for medevac.

• At 12:06 a.m. Sunday, CCFR responded to a fire alarm on Nowell Avenue. Investigation determined a fire extinguisher box had been broken and the extinguisher stolen.

• At 1:02 a.m. Sunday, a man with a head injury was transported from Distin Avenue to BRH.

• At 11:20 a.m. Sunday, CCFR responded to a fire alarm on Mount Roberts Street. Investigation determined alarm set off due to lack of maintenance.

• At 1:14 p.m. Sunday, a man who was depressed and intoxicated was transported from Stephen Richards Memorial Drive to BRH.

• At 4:03 p.m. Sunday, a man with controlled bleeding was transported from Marine Way to BRH.

Minor consuming alcohol

• At 2:26 a.m. Sunday, Johnny Frank Wilson, 18, was cited as a minor consuming alcohol in the 1300 block of Egan Drive.

Misconduct involving a controlled substance

• At 11:54 p.m. Saturday, a 16-year-old boy was cited and released for misconduct involving a controlled substance.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 2:12 p.m. Saturday, JPD investigated a report of a hit and run accident involving a pedestrian in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road.

• At 3:20 a.m. Sunday, JPD received a report of a vehicle hitting a light pole on Saint Ann’s Street. No injuries were sustained in the incident.

Remand

• At 1:17 a.m. Sunday, a 31-year-old was remanded per adult probations in the 8800 block of Egan Drive.

Retain undersized personal use Dungeness crab

• On Thursday AWT contacted and issued a citation to Martin V. Matthews, 45, for retaining two undersized personal use Dungeness crab in the Echo Cove area.

Theft

• At 8:41 p.m. Saturday, a 54-year-old woman reported her medication stolen in the 100 block of Franklin Street.
