Willoughby Ave. parking lot to be reserved for state use

On Nov. 21, maintenance and parking enforcement of the gravel parking lot located on Willoughby Avenue between the A&P/Foodland Center and the Salvation Army Office Building will transfer from the City and Borough of Juneau to the state of Alaska. This future home of the Alaska State Library, Archives and Museum building will be designated a state of Alaska employee parking lot until building construction begins. Eight visitor parking spaces will be installed at the northeast side of the lot near the entrance.

The lot will be patrolled and citations issued for vehicles using state employee parking spaces without current state of Alaska employee parking tags visibly displayed.
