Snowfall of up to six inches could hit areas of Southeast on Saturday morning, according to a winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service.
The advisory covers the northern inner channels of Southeast and the northeast Gulf Coast and includes the cities of Juneau, Hoonah, Gustavus, Haines, Skagway and Yakutat.
The advisory begins at 9 p.m. Friday and is scheduled to last until noon Saturday, though snow is not expected until early Saturday morning, the advisory states. The snow will become mixed with rain as Saturday progresses. Three to 6 inches of snow are expected.
