CCFR asks residents to check house numbers

As winter darkness and snow befall the city, Capital City Fire and Rescue is urging Juneau residents to take a moment to examine their house numbers.

Emergency responders do not want to be slowed down to hunt for an address, wasting “precious time trying to find your house or one of your neighbors,” according to a recent CCFR public safety announcement.

“If you can’t read your house numbers driving by or the pizza delivery person has a hard time finding you, it is time to make some corrections,” the statement read.

CCFR recommends the numbers be in a contrasting color and visible from the road.
