Eaglecrest Hilary Lindh Scholarship competition starts

Eaglecrest Ski Area and the Eaglecrest Board of Directors recently announced the 2011 Annual Hilary Lindh Season Pass Scholarship Competition. Each year the Eaglecrest Board of Directors awards four season passes — to one girl and one boy in kindergarten through fifth grade, as well as one boy and one girl in grades 6 through 12. Applications are judged on scholastic achievement, competitive spirit, and financial need.

Applications are available at all Juneau public schools, Raven and IDEA home school offices and online at www.skijuneau.com. There are separate applications for children in grades K-5 and those in grades 6-12. All applicants who meet the judging criteria and turn in completed application packets will receive an Eaglecrest day lift ticket and equipment rental to reward them for their hard work and dedication. Applications need to be submitted directly to Eaglecrest or any Juneau public school by noon on Dec. 1. The 2011 recipients will be announced on Dec. 9.

For questions regarding the Hilary Lindh Scholarship Competition visit www.skijuneau.com or call Eaglecrest at 790-2000, ext. 227.
